What software do I need to take a test?
Windows: In order to take a test, your computer needs Windows 98 or higher. This site supports Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher and Firefox 2.0 or higher.
Mac: In order to take a test, you need Mac OS 9 or higher. This site supports Safari 1.3 or higher and Firefox 2.0 or higher.
What hardware do I need to take a test?
In addition to having a computer that supports one of the required browsers, you will need to have a color monitor capable of displaying 800x600 with 32-bit color. For best results, use a 17 or larger monitor that supports 1024x768 resolution.
Will the test work over a dial-up connection?
You can take the test using a dial-up modem, but the performance will be slower. For an optimal experience tests must be taken using a broadband connection, such as DSL or a cable modem.
Will my answers be lost if my computer crashes?
No. All answers are saved each time you go to the next question. When you restart the test will start on the question that was displayed when you crashed.
What are the advanced features in your software?
All memberships gain full access to our intuitive web community. Features include the ability to take tests online, diagnostic score reports, review previously taken tests, communicate with other students though the bulletin board, and material useful in preparing for a test. Our test delivery software is fast and intuitive. During the test, you may start and restart as many times as necessary. You can even restart the test across multiple days. Once you complete the test, you will receive a detailed diagnostic report on your performance. This report includes scores on each content area.
How long will my membership last?
Your membership is valid for 90 days from the first date you log into our practice test community.
How many times can I take the practice tests?
There is no limit to the number of times you can take the practice test.
If I buy a test more than once, will the questions be the same?
Yes. The questions will be the same every time you purchase the test.
If I am buying tests for numerous examinees, how should I assign the test?
There are two ways to assign tests to candidates. You can select the ‘Unassigned’ link beside the associated product and enter the email addresses of the examinees in the provided field. Notice you will see a ‘Resend’ button next to each product for which you provided an email address. Click the ‘Resend’ button so a notification email will be sent to the examinee. When examinees log in for the first time using the authorization code, they will be prompted to enter an email address, a password, and complete a user profile before they can access the practice test.
You can also provide the listed authorization numbers to examinees. This allows them direct access to the associated product. Double check to ensure the authorization number matches the actual product the examinee requested.
I have a machine at home and at work. Can I use both?
Yes. Your testing history is maintained on our servers. You can even restart or review tests that you started on a different machine.
I have an Apple Mac. Can I use it with Practice Online?
Yes. In order to take a test, you need Mac OS 9 or higher. This site supports Safari 1.3 or higher and Firefox 2.0 or higher.
Can I share my membership with friends or students?
No. Your membership gives you the right to use the site as often as you like during your membership. However, you are not permitted to share access to the site. Violators will have their memberships immediately terminated, without refund.
We value your privacy! Practice Online uses session cookies to track the current test you are taking. Session cookies are deleted from your machine as soon as you close your browser. Although we may collect information through the Practice Test, it will be for research and evaluation purposes only.
